the sloth continues

Still not doing too well in the job department. My old pizza place offered me Saturdays, which isn't bad, but it's still not a lot. I admit I'm enjoying sleeping in and watching movies (and possibly having a standing date with

scimmia_romanov for the $6 Wednesdays at the Ritz downtown), but making money would be nice too. :P

The good news, however, is that I am upgrading my phone (for free!) and my new one is the bomb diggity. I should have it tomorrow or Monday; it's been shipped to my dad's work and then I have to go into the store to have my numbers transferred and stuff. Holler!

New moodtheme as well. ♥ And my extra userpics is running out quite soon; maybe this will be the year I have the willpower to not renew it. (But I doubt it.)

Hee! I admit I was making almost that exact same face as I was watching the episode, because they dropped the bomb and I was like "OMG HOLY SHIT" and cringing and...yeah. So I can't hate. But then...nothing happened. Heh. They're so clever with their fake-outs!

WHY DID THEY DO THAT? WHY?! She was just standing there and those random-ass chains were like "yoink!" And then she saved the day. :( Or ruined all their lives forever; one or the other. They promised a super-sad death, and Sawyer's reaction was certainly wrenching, but at the same time I was like 'wasn't that the point of the bomb?! To undo everything?!' Who knows. I hope we see her again.

Well, now we've got to get you one of those weird harmonica head-gear things so you can mix it up and multitask. And then maybe I'll get one of those drum-backpack thingies that Dick Van Dyke had in Mary Poppins. *nods* Excellent plan, I think.

Yesshh, the very same. It's not @ Regal 10, for some cracky reason. I think there's some kinda weird deal where either one theatre or the other gets a big movie & not both. The mall didn't have TDK last year. O____o I'm not fussed where we go, though, so have a look. And...I'd say dinner/drinky afterwards, because I understand that it's a legit good movie and I don't want to be giggling like a drunken fool all the way through. (We'll save that for another, lesser movie. Maybe G.I. Joe or something.)

Hee, thank you! I was tempted by several others. I was seriously considering this one, but it's a bit dramatic. Maybe I'll change it again in the winter or something. ;)

Sounds good. I haven't been over to the mall yet (although I may be there before Sunday, if I have to go set up my new phone) but I hear it's all fancy and jazzy and new with tons of new shiz. Should be interesting. The movie's 127 minutes, so plus ~15 minutes of trailers, that means we'll be at dinner at a pretty good time, I'd say. Sounds good to me! (...Is it sad that I'm really, really looking forward to finally uploading an icon once I see it? Yeah, I'd say so.)

Hee! I don't say that enough; I think I'll make a note to do so more often. And I will always have deep, profound love for Sirius/Remus; I'm gonna be posting fic soon. :) And yes, there is rather a lot of boyslash; I suppose I'm rather fond of it. Hee. And apparently I like 'em tragic too. Except for Tulio/Miguel, they're just flat-out awesome.

Oh, Saturdays, such fun. I haven't worked at this place since January, and I can't remember ever working a Saturday, and I'm not working with the main/best other waitress, so it should be a real hoot and a half. :P But I'm going to the movies on both Sunday and Monday and I need some cash monies, so there you are. I am in the same jobless boat. I have liked vegging out for the past month or so since I finished school but it would be nice to get off the couch and have some moolah.

I am not that familiar with a lot of the couples on your list, but you do seem to have a nice balance of het and slash with nothing too "out of the box" or unpopular. You seem to like established 'ships, and I tend to lean that way as well. I don't usually go for the 'ship where you have to stretch your imagination to justify the pairing.

Well, in our defense, it's like the worst time EVER to be looking for a job, and I only need a summer thing since I go back to NYC at the end of August, and most places don't wanna hire me for just three months... :P But whatever.

I'm a bit disappointed with myself, really; too many of the established ones. It does get annoying when people just throw their fave characters together and claim to ship it when it so doesn't make sense, but I s'pose I should be a bit more creative. :P I have a few crossover/weird ships, but they didn't all merit the top ten. And quite often I enjoy the OT3, but I wasn't sure if there was room for that in this ship. ;) And then I like dysfunctional ones, like Sweeney/Lovett. Oh, the perils of shippage.

Apparently people aren't totally loving the Blooms, which I suppose makes a bit of sense. It could have been quite a bit better, I have decided, but the acting and the art direction were still superb. And the original ideas and thematic statements were fascinating/wonderful.

O HAI THERE! You are a very sporadic LJer. But lovely to see you. And I just went to move Cabaret up my Netflix queue and saw that it was available for immediate viewing, so tomorrow might be that + All About Eve, which is an epic double feature for which I expect many many points.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't getting fab reviews, but I guess it's not that accessible. But it had a very odd sense of humour that I really dug, and as you said, art direction. And I adore both Adrien and Rachel and Mark, a bit, and you like Max and it all just worked out swimmingly. Now I need the music, of course. *goes a-hunting*
